January 28 2005 -

"South African journalist Jani Allan was her usual vivacious and acid-tongued self in yet another hour-long radio interview on American radio on Friday.
Jani is on a roll -- this is her third radio interview in the USA in as many months. (See her website: http://groups.msn.com/janiallan)

She spoke on her favourite subjects: the draconian South African gun laws, the blanket of international news media silence which hangs over the country's incredible violent-crime epidemic, and the cruel way in which the Mugabe regime allows the slaughter of so many beautiful and unique African animals.

Allan said 'isn't it interesting that under the new democratic South Africa, there are very few mainstream news media which are telling the actual truth about South Africa."Mandela and Mbeki aren't the saints the West believe they are.""When is the world going to get the moral courage to say that the horror in southern Africa has nothing to do with earthquakes or droughts, but with different cultures"."Statistics speak louder than any words. "
