Pierre was the manager of Crime Busters of SA -- and a co-founder of censorbugbear

He was a South African press photographer for many years before his death in The Netherlands on 30 March 2002.

Censorbugbear Pierre Oosthuysen defied the apartheid--era censorship when he stole this award-winning photograph in the Rand Supreme Court in 1982 of three killers - at the exact moment when they heard the guilty sentence pronounced. The picture was never published inside South Africa...

His death certificate was issued in Dutch and Frisian.
