On the 24th August 2001 - 'Roudag' (Day of Mourning), Malcolm and I, plus Marge Leitner from Afrikaner Charity, stood at Trafalgar Square for the first time (our first timee) to try and bring awareness to the world about the Boers. We made a coffin with all the names of the slain on it and stood holding crosses. We had all the police forensic photographs there too for people to look at. We had loud speakers and Malcolm's words travelled to the point that people came out of the embassies to come and look see what was happening. The most memorable moment was when he prayed and the whole square, filled with hundreds of people, hushed to a silence, the only sound was the busses and a few little children making innocent sounds. God spoke to hundreds that day, His greatness was seen and He is still moving our hearts to reach out to the lost. There was no uproar, no battle, no rabble, no snide remarks, just genuine interest as to why a handful of people stood at Trafalgar Square. I guess they wondered, and they probably thought 'not my problem, good entertainment during my lunch break', but they will never forget it and the message.
And now after the walk the news is travelling, the truth can't be stopped, the truth will out and when it breaks out, God will be there to see it through. Praise God for His grace and His goodness, Praise Him for His tender mercies towards His people, Praise Him for His love that reaches further than the deepest hell, Praise God for His understanding beyond what we even understand of ourselves, Praise Him for His forgiveness that paid the price for you and me, Praise God for being there every moment of the day and night, Praise God for His enormousness, His power, Praise God for His peace that passes all understanding, Praise God for His timing which is perfect. Praise God for the opportunity to praise Him forever. Praise God for VICTORY over satan and his horde tomorrow and forever. -Debbie Wren-
