In doing a search with just about any search engine on the Internet you will quickly learn that the Tokoloshe is an imaginary creature that stands around thirty inches tall in which many of the natives in South Africa are afraid. 

Legend has it that the Tokoloshe has a long penis that it carries over its shoulder. Usually described as a brown Hairy Dwarf, which speaks with a lisp because of a magical pebble that he carries in his mouth. The legend also has it that this Tokoloshe rapes children and woman and can disappear with the help of a magical pebble. 

Many of the natives are so afraid of the Tokoloshe that they elevate their beds on rocks or bricks. They do so with the hope of getting their bed so high that the Tokoloshe cannot reach them.

The African National Congress (ANC) promised in the early 1990’s to build a “Rainbow Coalition” that would govern South Africa. This rainbow was to be made up of all the people in South Africa, including all races. They promised a bed of roses for all that lived in South Africa, if the end of Apartheid came. The world supported the self-destruction of this old regime believing that the ANC would create a better and more stable South Africa. Now some ten years later, there are more people unemployed, more people in prison, more violent crimes, and more human rights violations now then there ever was in the history of this South Africa. Where is this “Rainbow Coalition” that was promised? Farm production has dropped by over 50% and it looks like the ANC plans to destroy all commercial farms in the same manner that happened in Zimbabwe.

It appears as though the end of Apartheid brought in a more racist, more ruthless, more brutal, less compassionate and less forgiving government. 

According to Genocide Watch what is taking place in South Africa is Genocide. According to Dr. Stanton in the report above, South Africa is in the 5th stage of the 8th stage of Genocide.  The 8th stage is the denial stage where everyone says, “we had no idea this was taking place,” or “we or I had nothing to do with this Genocide”, or “it’s a lie, this Genocide never happened,” “or this was a civil war in which we had no business,” or “there is nothing we could do to stop this.”

Since 1991 in South Africa there has been over 8000 farm attacks during which 1672 men, women and children have been hacked, stabbed, beaten, and or shot to death; with many of these people tortured for hours before they were killed. In addition to this, many of the bodies have been mutilated and burned. This number does not account for the hundreds if not thousands of ethno-Euro residents that have been killed in the towns and cities of South Africa. The numbers of farm attacks and killings during these farm attacks are tracked closely by the TLU (Farmers Union) in South Africa. No one is tracking the number of people being killed in the towns and cities.  While most of the killings have been native Africans killing ethno-Euro residents, many African natives have also been killed during this time.  Most of the native Africans that have been killed are those that are friendly with or work for the ethno-Euro residents of South Africa. While this is the most important part of this story, it is not the only part of this story.

Zimbabwe, once the breadbasket of Africa exporting tens of thousands of pounds of food products to other African nations, today cannot even feed its own people.  Robert Mugabe destroyed commercial farming in Zimbabwe when he started running the ethno-European farmers off their land in Zimbabwe. Many people lost their homes and possessions that had been in their families for years. Now the “new farmers” in Zimbabwe are subsistence farmers, mostly growing only what they need to feed their family. This leaves a great shortage of food products and puts millions of people on the verge of starvation.

South Africa is on the verge of turning into another Zimbabwe. If the farm attacks and killings do not stop in South Africa, South Africa will within the next ten to fifteen years will turn into another Zimbabwe. The process has already started with the government of South Africa giving its self the authority to take land away from people with out compensating these people during January of 2004.

This story includes, the lack of freedom of press in South Africa, the unwillingness of the international media to speak of the atrocities that are taking place, the miss-information that is coming out of South Africa, the lack of foreign governments to properly give its citizens honest travel advisories relating to the dangerous travel conditions in South Africa. In addition to this, the South African government is doing little to stop these violent farm attacks and killings. Judging from the brutality displayed in pictures that I have seen from several of these victims, these farm attacks and killings appear to be much more than simple robberies and killings. This story goes on to include the poor, honest, hard working, sincere native African that only wants to work so that he or she can afford to feed their family, but is scared to death of the possibility of attacks and killings of their family, if they appear to be too friendly with the ethno-Euro residents of South Africa.

The direction South Africa is heading should sound warning signals to every civilization nation on the planet earth. The human rights violations along should energize nations to immediately insist that these farm attacks and killings in South Africa stop. It is time for the world to get a strong sense of urgency about what is really taking place in South Africa.

The real Tokoloshe in South Africa is the African National Congress.  They have done more to set this nation back in time, and have caused more damage to the people of South Africa then anyone can dream.  Even the mystical Tokoloshe with all its powers could not do more damage to South Africa than the ANC.
