The new Firearms Control Act came into force on the 1st July last year, and while some people still doubt the purpose of this Act, it is fast becoming accepted that this is nothing more than a law to disarm the South African public. It has nothing to do with ’control of firearms’, but the control of people, simply another form of social engineering, for which this government is becoming famous, or is that infamous?
The method of this disarmament is brilliant in its simplicity, and be assured the droids that are ’governing’ this country, did not think this one up all by themselves. But before we go further, let us look back at one of the submissions presented to the ’Goldstone Commission’ in 1993.
One Azhar Cachalia, in his submission, stated that it was the intention of the A.N.C. government to completely disarm the South African public, but said it would be unacceptable to the public if they were to be disarmed overnight........
Just imagine if the A.N.C. government had simply passed a law stating that, by a certain date all privately owned firearms had to be handed in to the nearest police station for destruction (without compensation). There would have been a riot that the government would have been hard pressed to contain, as firearm owners would have assembled in a body saying go to...whatever.
However, Cachalia went on to say that incremental restrictions would be put in place to make it more and more difficult to first obtain a licence for a firearm, and then to retain that licence, until the public was finally disarmed.
The police and government have been at pains to inform the public about how the relicensing schedule is to take place. From the beginning of the year 2005, people born in the first quarter of the year need to apply for license renewal before December of that year, people born in the second quarter to apply for renewal before December of 2006, third quarter, by December 2007, and people born in the last quarter, by December 2008.
So now we have the situation with some 7% of the population split into four groups, with any people attempting to defy the government and buck the system easily picked off, arrested, dragged to court, and sentenced to anything between five and fifteen years in prison, with the whole procedure well publicized to make an example of that person to anyone else with similar ideas.
The sad truth is that anyone who attempts to co-operate with this law, as the police are constantly urging people to do, will receive a letter saying that the application for a renewal of a license has been refused, and when reasons are demanded, they will receive a standard printed letter saying the following:
”The motivation was insufficient to convince the deciding officer of the necessity for the firearm.
”No exceptional circumstances”.
It would appear from people who have already applied for licences, that there is no such thing as the correct ”motivation”, as no matter what is put forward as motivation, the application is always rejected. As for exceptional circumstances concerned, who decides what they are?.
So there we have it. Unless citizens vigorously protect this process, within five years, all hand arms will disappear, and within ten years, all forms of sporting rifle will be gone.
Why, one might ask, is the A.N.C. government so hell bent on disarming the law abiding public? There are possibly three reasons for this.
First of all power, by a communist, is gained through the barrel of a gun, if not by ’negotiation’, and once gained has to be maintained through the barrel of a gun, and in maintaining that power, it’s no fun if the peasants can shoot back.
Secondly, as some politicians have an inflated sense of their own importance, being the craven cowards they usually are, they are terrified that someone will start taking pot shots at them due to draconian legislation they might impose on the public some time in the future.
Thirdly, ethnic cleansing. It is no secret, this present government would like to see this country completely devoid of white people, and those that have not been driven from the country by crime, affirmative action, and other legislation will, over a period of time, simply be culled like vermin. Oh! no, there may be no jack-booted police dragging people into the streets and shooting them out of hand. No - this could be done under the guise of crime. ’A man was murdered for his cell phone, car, wallet, etc.’
If there is anybody who doubts what I am saying, let us look at this from another angle. It is an internationally known fact that the more armed the public is, the lower the crime rate, and with the crime rate that this country has as a result of an irresponsible government, one might think that making it easy for the public to arm itself would be the way to go. They have gone in the opposite direction. Just look at the people murdered out of hand in the name of crime. We have had 1600 of our farmers murdered.
At this rate it would seem that we are headed for the traditional chaotic typical African one party state. Look at Zimbabwe and see the Hotel Rwanda film for illustrations of where all this could be heading.
